Genius Sports Raises 2026 Revenue Guidance After Q2 Results

Genius Sports reported second-quarter financial results for the period ending June 30, 2026, and increased its full-year revenue forecast. The sports data provider recorded $196 million in group revenue, surpassing initial projections.

Financial Performance and Outlook

The company adjusted its 2026 group revenue outlook to a range of $1.005 billion to $1.025 billion. Q2 revenue exceeded the previous $185 million estimate and grew by $76.8 million compared to the same quarter last year. Adjusted EBITDA reached $53 million, above the $45 million target. A $77 million net loss for the quarter was attributed to expenses that management described as "primarily driven by non-recurring transaction-related expenses."

Operational Updates

Mark Locke, founder and CEO, noted that the company is benefiting from its established infrastructure. He highlighted increased advertiser interest in the combined data and audience offering, expansion in prediction markets, and continued strength in the core betting division. The quarter also marked the first full period following the Legend integration, with management confirming positive early results from the merger. During the reporting period, Genius Sports secured a new partnership with Liga MX and continued scaling its GeniusIQ platform. The financial update was published on August 7, 2026, by Richard Hollis.
